25 Years und Videotape Ufnahme

Mier sind gfragt worde oeb mier allaesslich de 25 Jahr Fiir vom Epcore Center (grosse Theaterhuus mit mehrere Theatersael) en Teil vo Radioheaded uffuehre choend. freue mich

http://www.epcorcentre.org/WhatsOn/ShowDetails.aspx?show_id=DAFEBA77-5699-42FC-8958-37FF07B6B082

Geschter hemmer eusi Videos fuer de Song Videotape ufgnoh. Isch sehr emotional gsi.

D Zueschauer letscht jahr hend au sehr emotional druf reagiert.

3 Auditions, 1 Rehearsal, 1 Birthday Party CONTINUED

Bi wieder zrugg vo mim 'coffee-date' :-) Isch schoen gsi wieder mal chli es kaffeechraenzli zha... Muess huet erscht am 5i i de prob sii (anstatt am 3) und han drum no chli meh zyt zum schriebe...

Also, de reihe nah. Zerschter hani mini Audition gha fuer s Stueck 'Perfect Pie' (http://www.tarragontheatre.com/pdfs/outreach/study-guides/1999-2000/SG-PerfectPie.pdf).

3 Auditions, 1 Rehearsal, 1 Birthday Party

Geschter isch en strenge aber schoene Tag gsi. Zerscht hani 3 Vorspreche gha. Alles isch guet gange. Schriebe Huet abig echli meh drueber. Denn hemmer Radioheaeded Prob gha und nach de Prob simmer a d Uni amene Kolleg sini Geburtstagsparty go fiire (er wohnt im Studentewohnheim). Isch voll schoen gsi alli luet wieder z gseh.

Back

Also, zerscht hed am Anton sini Theatergruppe en Betty Mitchell Award gwunne fuer ihres Stueck (Best New Play) (http://www.bettymitchellawards.com/)...
Toll, gwunne hani es "prize package (worth over $1600 in theatre tickets and other theatre gifts)".

D'auditions fuer die 3 shows i de schuel findet am 10. September statt. Jetzt hani ihm vorgschlage, dass ich a die auditions gha und denn wiiterluege. vielleicht chumi ja nid ihne, aber wenn d show nid z stand chund und ich nid mal a d auditions gange bi wuerdi mich dass mega nerve... Usserdem isch eini vo dene shows en Commedia dell'Arte show mit Maske.

QUEEN MARGARET
Enforced thee! art thou king, and wilt be forced?
I shame to hear thee speak. Ah, timorous wretch!
Thou hast undone thyself, thy son and me;
And given unto the house of York such head
As thou shalt reign but by their sufferance.
To entail him and his heirs unto the crown,
What is it, but to make thy sepulchre
And creep into it far before thy time?
Warwick is chancellor and the lord of Calais;
Stern Falconbridge commands the narrow seas;
The duke is made protector of the realm;
And yet shalt thou be safe? such safety finds
The trembling lamb environed with wolves.
Had I been there, which am a silly woman,
The soldiers should have toss'd me on their pikes
Before I would have granted to that act.
But thou preferr'st thy life before thine honour:
And seeing thou dost, I here divorce myself
Both from thy table, Henry, and thy bed,
Until that act of parliament be repeal'd
Whereby my son is disinherited.
The northern lords that have forsworn thy colours
Will follow mine, if once they see them spread;
And spread they shall be, to thy foul disgrace
And utter ruin of the house of York.
Thus do I leave thee. Come, son, let's away;
Our army is ready; come, we'll after them

Und fuer die dritti Audition (au am 10. Sept.) muessi nued speziells vorbereite.

IF... Poem by Rudyard Kipling

IF.....

IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

(Possibly Del Close?) ____________________________ "take even the negative things as a gift for your character. if someone calls you an asshole, then you just found out your character's an asshole. that's great!" The problem is how to remain an artists once we grow up." ---Pablo Picasso ____________________________ "For the skilled improviser, however, time slows down (rather like in The Matrix). They see a palette of possibilities in front of them and make instant connections, using what they have." ---Julie Sheldon Huffaker, Brad Robertson, Gary Hirsch and Rob Poynton ____________________________ "The focus of Improv leads to conversers being present, meaning they exist in the here and now. The acceptance in Improv leads to the speaker's connection, meaning each becomes part of a co-creation team. The distance between the communicators is thereby no longer a gap to be closed. It becomes a connector, filling the space between bodies like a see-saw connects the two riders on either end. Each is dependent on the other for flow and movement. This synchronicity of focus and acceptance is what results in full body listening." ---Izzy Gesell, Wide Angle Humor ____________________________ "Many people have the idea that to improvise you have to get up on a stage and 'make it up.' While it's true that that's the bulk of it, it could also be said that the bulk of driving is pointing the car, so let's allow five-year-olds to do it. Bad idea. To master the art of improv can take many years, and a great understanding, not just of improv's tenets, but those of many different disciplines. Because there are fewer parameters than any other performing art, one must be prepared for anything that comes your way. That includes forays into the worlds of writing, directing, design, dance, music, singing, mime, stage combat, and especially acting. Once you've got all of these down, then you can say that improv is easy." --- Jeff Catanese, Improv Review ____________________________ "Once you figure out your strengths, those could become your weaknesses. Never stop learning." Susan Messing ____________________________ Q: "what can i do to make this better?" A: "do what you do, and that will support what's going on." Susan Messing ____________________________ "When the crative spirit stirs, it animates a style of being: a lifetime filled with the desire to innovate, to explore new ways of doing things, to bring dreams to reality." (Daniel Goleman et. al.) ____________________________ "The unconscious mind is far mroe suited to creative insight than the conscious mind." (Daniel Goleman et. al.) ____________________________
